Wine tasting starts at 6:30pm sharp. Please arrive head of time so that we may start punctually.
$20 per person
Your wine tasting will be a stand up tasting hosted in our retail Wine Shop. Appetizers and small plates will be included.
Cody Wright is the son of noted Willamette Valley winemaker, Ken Wright. His stepfather, Rollin Soles, runs Argyle Winery, and his mother, Corby Stonebraker-Soles, now married to Rollin, is a partner in ROCO. Cody grew up in the Willamette Valley and worked at wineries in Oregon, New Zealand and Australia. He now divides his time between working as assistant winemaker at ROCO Winery and his own brand, Purple Hands.
The name Purple Hands symbolizes all the years of hands-on immersion he had already at just 25 years of age. For the first two vintages, the sole Purple Hands product was an excellent value, a blend of Merlot and Pinot Noir. As he continued to hone his skills at Argyle and Ken Wright, the signature red blend remained Purple Hands’ staple, increasing from 250 to 1,000 cases. The wine was made at Ken Wright Cellars and augmented in 2007 by 100 cases of Pinot Noir sourced from Canary Hill Vineyard — first planted in 1982, the prime Eola Hills site had recently been purchased by his father, who offered Cody the opportunity to express himself.
